Archers, like all other members of the labor force, are idle during the night and, therefore, defending the wall of your kingdom is the responsibility of the members of the labor force who are idle. A striking balance of archers and builders is prudent as too many builders leaves your kingdom vulnerable to attack and too many archers slows the physical expansion of your fortification.

The main antagonists are the greed who emerge from portals at night. They assault your kingdom to steal your gold and crown. Knocking the crown off your head causes an end-of-game situation. The obvious remedy to forestall this is to build and reinforce walls using the gold at your disposal. There are special events such as the Blood Moon which increases the intensity and rate of assaults on your walls. The attackers are feral and beast like in nature and the walls and defenses must be equally strong to withstand their assaults. The levels of play increase in intensity as the game progresses and your archers must be sufficiently trained to meet the challenge.

There are also different mounts in the world that you are able to discover and ride. You start with a horse but are able to find the Great Stag or even a Bear. Each mount has its own special abilities. The Great Stag for example may be able to run through forest faster or a Bear may have the ability to destroy obstacles in its path. As the game goes on and the world becomes more dangerous, discovering statues and mounts becomes more crucial to your survival.

Seasons will rotate and winter will be the hardest. You will have to manage your resources and wealth to prepare for the off-season when hunting and crop growing stops. Players will have to invest their wealth wisely to make it through the harsh winters. As mentioned, overseeing the building of a large ship is the ultimate goal of the game.
