Players enter a survival RPG game that occurs under the oceans. The game is based around the progression of your character through a system based around the management of hunger. Players start as microorganisms inhabiting a world of other marine creatures. The goal is to eat to grow and ultimately evolve and multiply as a predator. Hunger will drive players from one region of the ocean to the next. The regions of the ocean are the top ocean, mid-ocean, abyssal zone, and more. The evolution system is based on your character absorbing biomass. Once Digested, the player will undergo an “Upgrade and Evolve” System. In which, the octopus transforms from a scavenger to a larger predator of the ocean. As the player eats more, the prey’s strength is transferred to the player, resulting in a predator transformation. The player will not only notice a statistical change to the player’s character, but will also notice aesthetic changes. Changes will include the thickness of the character’s tentacles and patterns on the character’s skin. Ultimately, the system ensures that the player grows in the hierarchy of the ecosystem, taking the title of the ecosystem dominant predator.
