The world was advancing through an accelerated stage of developmental progress when there was an anomaly of an alternate dimension crossing over.

This caused the existence of a dimension in-between known as The Bast.

In Remnants of the Rift, players will control Morgan, a Mercenary who will venture through the dimension of The Bast. Various factions are competing against one another to capture the secrets and resources that are trapped within The Bast. Morgan will experience extreme danger and uncertainty of the resources reserved within The Bast.

This game is based on the idea of PAUSE, PLAN and PLAY.

REAL TIME ACTION AND TACTICAL CONTROL

While every battle is set upon a real time basis, players are never forced to act on a strictly time-based basis. Pausing the Battlefield is always an available tool to assess the situation, choose the next best attack, move into position and create a plan to engage in the next steps of the battle.

Tactical control means that you always have a step and a time in which you have the ability to control whether to move into a fight or a position or not that is of your best interest, all the while you can control the flow of the battle through the pause mechanism.

EVERY DIVE IS DIFFERENT

The Bast is a dimension that is constantly altering and never the same. This means players can never expect to play the same game twice.

The battles you choose to engage are unique and you can never know what to expect. There are strategies that you can expect to use multiple times, but once you use it, you may never be able to use it again.

Failing to survive on an expedition isn’t actually the end of the game, either.

You can equip better gear, reevaluate your strategies, and jump right back into The Bast. The more times you fail, you get to learn more about the threats remaining in the world beneath and how far you can go.
