About Save Location GPS

The app, Save Location, GPS, is for the consumer that has issues with navigation and finds themselves in unfamiliar areas and and/or situations. If you can’t remember the way to a friend’s house or if you have a new housemate that moved in to a new house that you have never been to before, Save Location can help. This app is for any travel situation and any naviation problems that you may have. The creators want this app to help consumers navigate and network solutions to eliminate the worry of consumers getting lost. This app is to help consumers navigate new cities and neighborhoods. The app helps consumers find the correct path, whether it be using public transit or something else. The software targets consumers that need or want help with travel solutions.

One of the major components of the software is the sophisticated search engine. This search engine allows users to search beyond structured streets. Users can search for points of interests (i.e. shopping, dining) to retrieve their locations. Users can also use the search engine to locate establishments even if they do not have their physical address. Users can also take advantage of the search engine to locate a point of interest even if it is located in a harder to reach location (i.e. a street corner) of a region. The search engine can scan the entire region to locate the point of interest. The search engine can lessen the need for users to physically travel and locate points of interest, and can help them travel to multiple points of interest quickly.

The app not only helps in geographical coordinate based location identification, but also in address based location identification. Besides, the search results and user inputs are permanently stored. So, the app provides a ready to use database of user defined important locations. User is no more required to perform a search operation to locate a place, if he/she has already visited the place and/or saved the location in the app. A user is free to define and save any number of places to visit, so that he/she need not perform a search operation to find the places for visit and/or navigation. In general, the organization of place of interests is to develop and enhance the user experience and ease of use of the app. The app offers a number of other features for improved navigation and to provide a more pleasant user experience.

There is a feature in the software that supports navigation and location sharing. Users can see the exact location of other users. This aids users in planning and meeting up. For excursions and outings where there are several users, the feature helps members stay in contact and in sight of each other. This is particularly helpful when members of the same user group are at the same location but are unable to unite due to large crowds. The feature helps members locate each other. Users can also locate members of their user group who are traveling to the same location. The feature removes the stress of becoming lost or separated from the member of a user group. Members of a user group can remain in contact at all times and plan to meet up at a specific location.

Users can select from multiple map modes based on their preferences and the situation at hand. These modes include terrain, route, and satellite. Each mode is its own function and takes the user to a different experience, allowing them to view sections of routes they may have never seen before. Satellite maps give a highly detailed, photo-like view of an area. Because of this, users of the application may be able to identify landmarks and features along routes that may be otherwise hidden. Route maps show the road and trail networks of an area. Terrain maps show the physical features of land and relief of an area. By including multiple modes, the application provides the ability for its users to understand their environment and location.

The application works offline, making it very handy. You can use it to navigate to saved locations or while traveling through places without network coverage, including remote, rural areas. The developers understood that in addition to saving money by using the app instead of an in-vehicle navigation system, you’ll also appreciate not using your mobile data for navigation. You can rely on the app to navigate you to your next location while saving your data for other tasks. Additionally, by allowing offline use, the developers made sure that there is a navigation app to help you get to your next appointment and not get lost in the process.
