The game features a variety of modes structured around many different 25-battle tournaments. Each of these tournaments features large tycoons, which are unique boss characters that players cannot defeat. The objective of each of these battles is to set a new record against the tycoon. There are also 30 side-quests that offer additional challenges and behavioral variety among enemy characters. Like the main tournaments, the objective of these challenges is to engage in a series of bouts to become the champion of the tournament. The challenges feature intense and lengthy combat scenarios.

Outside of the main challenges and tournaments, players can engage in 120 Time Attack challenges. The Time Attack challenges are unique from the other modes in that the objective is not to survive, but to defeat opponents as quickly as possible. Players can acquire special equipment for breaking records and other rewards by participating in these challenges. Sparring, similar to Time Attack challenges, focuses on defeating opponents as quickly as possible.
