Fantastic Days is a strategy and adventure game that offers an immersive experience through its unique storylines. There are many stories to discover that all center around the main and sub stories. You are tasked to make teams of 4 members to traverse and dominate a world map, which in turn completes an objective.

The stellar cast of characters includes the主人公 companions Azuma, Akya, Megumin, and Darkness. But do not worry about other companions as Alice and Cecily also appear in the main story routes. Everyone can make a main cast party of 4 members. Other supporting cast includes neutral characters, but are tonally more good, and some that are more evil. Neutral characters offer support to the player, and the evil characters add challenge to the story. To push the immersion of the game, each character has voice actors, and is designed with his or her own personality.

There are power stars associated with characters in this game. There are five stars associated with each power of a character in this game. There are spells and special abilities associated with each character. The strategic part of the game is in knowing how to best combine characters to build the strongest team capable of fighting enemies occupying new lands in the game world and the line of defense against new enemies. The enemies are designed after characters/villains in anime, and have an imposing aesthetic to them.

The combat system is odd, in that the player gives commands to a team of characters to formulate a plan and can then watch as that plan is automatically carried out after structure is given. The enemy and challenge types forum most of the variations in the different regions, and emphasis is placed on the player’s ability to adapt and adjust their strategies continuously. Fighting these rampaging monsters is the player’s means of providing defense and suffering the attrition that the land suffers while also gaining valuable items to level up characters.

The reward system relies on stockpiling gold, diamonds, and meat. Each monster encounter and level completion rewards gold. Diamonds require special event or mission completion to earn. Higher value items can be purchased with diamonds. Gold and Diamonds can be earned from several in-game activities along with meat which can be used to boost your stamina to keep you going on longer adventures and to help you take on the many levels and challenges in the game.

Each region map has varying levels of difficulty and rewards, and as you increase levels, the enemies also do as well. The main objective of the game is to manage your resources so you can upgrade characters, plan your squads, and carry on the endless fight between balance and unbalance. By accomplishing discrete challenges, you not only gain new valuable resources, but you also gain points for your clever execution, which also allows you to fully customize your team and unleash your imagination for touring the world of fantasy.
