About AI Photo Generator

PicJourney: AI Photo Generator is an app developed by Metamorph AI Labs where users can create digital art using their own photos. The app bridges the gap between mobile phone photography and high-end digital illustration. The app leverages AI to help users style their own photos in a manner similar to animation or paint styling. The app aims to give users the opportunity to imagine and reinvent the way they capture the world around them in a creative and artistic way. To do this, the app employs several AI models to help users mimic and create artistic styles beyond the limitations of regular photo filters and other photo editing apps.

A major aspect of the app’s identity is built around Magical Ghibli Transformations. The feature is inspired by the hand-painted aesthetic of legacy animation studios and seeks to recreate it in software. When a user selects this feature, the AI parses the photo and extracts elements, such as the landscape, the architecture, the colors, and the lighting. Then, the AI uses color palettes and brushstrokes found in classic animated films to reimagine them. This can turn a simple photo of the countryside or a busy city street into an enchanting image as though it was plucked straight from a fantasy film. We hope to add a sense of calm and whimsy to the world around you, to give a new way of looking at the world around you in a magical and surreal way.

The software has a Personalized Avatar Creator to assist customers with their digital self on social media. This feature takes a selfie, processes it, and creates a ‘painterly’ avatar. To achieve this effect, the program adds artistic textures. This gives the appearance of a custom illustration. While doing this, the program focuses on the subject’s features so the user is still recognizable in the avatar. The Whimsical Character Design feature provides the same capability of seeing yourself as the protagonist of an animated fantasy story. The AI provides a high level of personalization and detail for the users interested in fantasy art by incorporating elements of the user’s likeness into a character design with a narrative focusing aesthetic.

Environmental Manipulation

The app’s Serene Background Generator offers Immersive Fantasy Backgrounds for users interested in manipulating the environment. This tool enables users to substitute the backgrounds of users’ photos with fantasy backgrounds. The description offers users the option of placing themselves in a wishing well, as well as in other peaceful and magical environments. This tool is more advanced than a simple cutout tool. The AI behind this tool alters the background, as well as the subject of the photo, to make it seem like the photo is really taken in a fantasy world. This allows users to create scenes beyond the limitations of the world as it actually exists.

The app allows users to expand their creativity beyond the main Ghibli aesthetic. Users can manipulate their environments in the styles of other famous films. This allows the users to filter their photos in line with their creativity and really capture the environment they want. The app also offers tools such as Ethereal Lighting, which allows users to alter the mood of the art and the environment they’ve captured. Users can choose between a sunset or a misty moonlit background. Users can also adjust the lighting to create the emotional impact they want in their work.

Manipulating the AI is a key aspect of the PicJourney application. It provides virtual AI filters with which users can control specific features of the AI-generated images. These filters help adjust details like the intensity of brush strokes and lighting, and the complexity of the background. As such, PicJourney refines the AI-image generation process, and moves away from a one-size-fits-all approach. By providing a high degree of control, PicJourney aims to involve the user in the process of AI image generation, such that the user collaborates with the AI to accomplish a desired goal, as opposed to simply being a bystander to an automated process.

The process of using PicJourney to edit a photo is easy. The user is first invited to select an image on their device. Once an image is loaded, PicJourney presents options for the artistic style and the theme of the image. After these are defined, the AI applies a style-transfer process to the image. This process alters the image as defined, while still keeping the image subject clear and identifiable. The final step is to use the filters and tools provided, to adjust details such as brush strokes and lighting. The last step is to export the image to a device, where it can be saved in high definition.

The high-definition exports generated by the application can be used to create high quality digital wallpapers, high quality art prints, or can be uploaded to social media to enhance image quality. The application provides high-resolution exports to ensure the artwork is saved at its full quality. One of the major goals of this application is to make artistic self-expression easier. This application gets rid of the barriers and obstacles that come along with using traditional art forms. This application provides users an outlet to express their vision and photographic skills in a manner that makes self-expression effortless. Users can take a photo, upload it to the application, and gain a piece of art. The application is structured in a way that the user doesn’t have to worry about the burden and obstacles that accompany using traditional art forms. Users can simply take a photograph and gain artwork effortlessly. Users are encouraged to think of this art generator as the start of a journey to a new avenue to creatively and effortlessly express their inner most thoughts and feelings.
