About ROME

While the Roman Empire in alternative history strategy game ROME MOD APK has broken up into separate states after three centuries, the rest of the world has continued to change and evolve. As such, players experience a time of great instability with the remaining parts of the Roman Empire, the East and West, experiencing both external threats and decay within. A key aspect of this game is the ability to shape history in accordance with the desires of the player. Thus, if you wish to restore the greatness of ancient Rome, you are free to do so. Conversely, if you wish to play the role of the great barbarian chieftains, and bring about the collapse of the old world, you can do that as well. ROME MOD APK allows you to take command of 18 different factions. These include great historical figures and their tribes, clans and kingdoms such as the Goths, Vandals, and Franks. Each of the 18 different playable factions have unique victory conditions and starting positions on a large, and well, very broad campaign map, which covers most of Europe and parts of Africa. Depending on which faction you take command of, the general flow and strategic focus of the game changes. For example, different barbarian tribes focus on conquest while Roman factions concentrate on defense and border control.

This expansion introduces mechanics around Horde behavior, which alterhow f actions interate with the world map. Unlike standard behavior in base game where factions are fortressed to a settlement, a number of barbarian f actions can be displaced. Horde mechanics enable factions to give up their settlements and transform into nomadic armies. These armies then become the focus of the faction and cultivate a new fortune through conquest and plundering. This makes the armies a constant threat to any stable border. In fact, the armies can cross stable borders and conquer even the most fortressed and prosperous factions. The armies therefore need to strike the right balance between migratory behavior and settlement behavior, to ultimately win the game. These armies typically migrate and conquer new lands and in the process challenge the status quo and shake up the established empires. This behavior gives the campaign map a lot of unpredictability.

Building and overseeing an empire in Six Ages is more complex than just gathering more land through conquest. The game presents various systems for managing an empire such as the economy and diplomacy. The campaign map allows the player to oversee family members, including their relationships and personalities. Some systems are quite deep. For example, the family member system resembles that of an RPG. Players can also engage the various Pagan religions and the rising Christian faith. The religions provide order and chaos in the game. Finally, the player can engage various social and political systems to reform the state and build a stronger empire. These systems also help players manage the state while contending with hostile empires and marauding hordes.

Battles in this game take place in real time, and commanders have the ability to control thousands of units. The game attempts to represent the strategies of the professional legions of Rome and the wild, chaotic barbarian warbands. Battles are interactive, and the game uses a number of graphical and algorithmic tricks to represent hundreds of units on the battlefield. The addition of nocturnal battles adds a new strategy layer as commanders can use darkness to surpass enemy morale. Defeat in battle can still reward a commander with a morale boost if he forms up units in an effective order and uses the terrain to his advantage. Combat can take place anywhere, from the walls of a legion city to the open fields between the cities. The goal of the game is to represent the major land battles that took place during the Roman era and provide a means to test the players’ strategy, morale and command skills in historical, real time battles.

In order to bring elements of grand strategy and intricate tactics to the mobile platform, the development team created a new, mobile-friendly user interface. The user interface enables players to control large numbers of units and use unit abilities. Along with design improvements to the user interface, the development team improved the artificial intelligence of enemy units and added new unit abilities. The new user interface makes the campaign and battle maps equivalent, and players are able to freely switch between the two. Players are able to zoom in and out to adjust the level of detail and scale of the battle. Because the focus of design improvements has been the mobile user interface, the development team has been able to include the same level of detail as the original game. The game includes research and unit improvement systems. The game allows players to construct and upgrade buildings to increase the unit and population capacity of a city. The game integrates a wide variety of systems and gives players the flexibility to focus on the systems that are most enjoyable.
